Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour, butter, and granulated sugar until crumbly. Press into an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Toss apples with cinnamon and lemon juice. Spread over baked crust.
- Combine brown sugar, oats, and walnuts. Sprinkle over apples.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until apples are tender.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.

- Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best results.
