Description

Creamy mashed sweet potatoes with rich brown butter and crunchy pecans.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup milk or cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Boil sweet potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain.
  2. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat until golden brown.
  3. Add pecans and toast for 2 minutes.
  4. Mash sweet potatoes with milk, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir in brown butter and pecans.
  6. Serve warm.
