Description
Creamy mashed sweet potatoes with rich brown butter and crunchy pecans.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup milk or cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Boil sweet potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain.
- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat until golden brown.
- Add pecans and toast for 2 minutes.
- Mash sweet potatoes with milk, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in brown butter and pecans.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon.
- Toast pecans separately for more crunch.
