Description
A flavorful vegetarian dish where cauliflower replaces meat in a rich, spiced tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 medium cauliflower (cut into florets)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp ginger (grated)
- 2 tbsp tikka masala paste
- 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft.
- Add garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in tikka masala paste, turmeric, and chili powder. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add cauliflower florets. Coat them evenly with the spice mixture.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and coconut milk. Stir well.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes until cauliflower is tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala and salt. Stir.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For extra spice, add chopped green chilies.
- Serve with basmati rice or naan bread.
- Leftovers taste better the next day.
