Ingredients
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Steam broccoli until tender, about 5 minutes, then set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in flour, salt, and pepper to make a roux.
- Gradually add milk, stirring continuously until thickened.
- Add cheese and stir until melted.
- Combine cheese sauce with broccoli in a baking dish.
- Bake for 15 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned.

- You can substitute cheddar with other cheeses like mozzarella or gouda.
