A quick and flavorful grilled shrimp dish with a zesty chili lime marinade.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Toss shrimp in the marinade until evenly coated.
  4. Thread shrimp onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes first).
  5. Grill shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque and slightly charred.
  6. Remove from grill and garnish with fresh cilantro.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more cayenne pepper.
  • Serve with lime wedges for squeezing.
