Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried mustard
- 6 slices bread, cubed
- 1 pound cooked sausage, crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup diced onions
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and dried mustard.
- Layer bread cubes, sausage, cheese, bell peppers, and onions in the dish.
- Pour egg mixture evenly over the layers.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until set.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute sausage with bacon or ham.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
- For a crispier top, broil for 2-3 minutes after baking.
