Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 cups mixed dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, apricots)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine flour, salt, and butter in a bowl. Mix until crumbly.
- Add cold water gradually to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough and line a pie dish.
- In another bowl, mix dried fruits, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Fill the pie crust with the fruit mixture.
- Cover with another layer of rolled-out dough or create a lattice top.
- Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
