Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until vegetables soften.
- Stir in butter and flour. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually add chicken broth and milk. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Add sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot with optional toppings like crumbled bacon or diced pickles.
