Description

Ingredients

Pasta Base

  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni) (cooked al dente)

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage (crumbled and browned)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (with juice)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (for extra flavor)


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked pasta, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes, then serve hot!

Notes

For extra richness, add a splash of pasta water before mixing in the pasta. Serve with garlic bread for the perfect meal!
