Description
A crunchy and flavorful chaat made with foxnuts and pine nuts, perfect for a quick snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup foxnuts (makhana)
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1 tbsp ghee or oil
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp black salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp pomegranate seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Dry roast foxnuts in a pan until crisp. Set aside.
- In the same pan, lightly toast pine nuts until golden. Remove and set aside.
- Heat ghee or oil in the pan. Add roasted foxnuts and pine nuts.
- Sprinkle chaat masala, red chili powder, cumin powder, and black salt. Toss well.
- Drizzle lemon juice and mix evenly.
- Garnish with chopped coriander and pomegranate seeds if using.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover chaat in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Adjust spice levels to your preference.
- For extra crunch, roast the nuts until golden brown.
