Description

A spicy and crispy tofu stir fry with sriracha sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 green onions, chopped


Instructions

  1. Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut into cubes.
  2. Toss tofu with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry tofu until crispy, about 5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Add bell pepper and broccoli. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Mix sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar in a small bowl.
  7. Return tofu to the pan. Pour sauce over and toss to coat.
  8. Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish with green onions and serve.

Notes

  • Use extra-firm tofu for best texture.
  • Adjust sriracha for more or less heat.
  • Serve over rice or noodles.
