Description
A quick and easy beef stroganoff recipe with tender beef strips in a creamy mushroom sauce.
Ingredients
- 500g beef strips
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Cook beef strips until browned, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté onion and mushrooms until soft.
- Add flour, paprika, and tomato paste, stirring for 1 minute.
- Pour in beef stock and bring to a simmer.
- Return beef to the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in sour cream until combined.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot with rice or noodles.
Notes
- Use tender beef cuts like sirloin or fillet for best results.
- Replace sour cream with yogurt for a lighter version.
- Add garlic or mustard for extra flavor.
