A refreshing and tangy key lime sheet cake perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup key lime juice
- 1 tbsp key lime zest
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch sheet pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs, melted butter, sour cream, key lime juice, zest, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before frosting or serving.
Notes
- For extra tang, add more key lime juice to taste.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
