A warm and spiced mulled wine recipe perfect for cold evenings.
Ingredients
- 750 ml red wine
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 cloves
- 2 star anise
- 2 tbsp honey or sugar
Instructions
- Pour the wine into a saucepan.
- Add orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.
- Heat gently on low for 10-15 minutes (do not boil).
- Stir in honey or sugar until dissolved.
- Serve warm in mugs.
Notes
- Use a dry red wine like Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Remove spices before serving if preferred.
