A creamy caramel flan made with plant-based milk, perfect for a dairy-free dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups plant milk (almond, oat, or coconut)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until golden. Pour into a flan mold.
- Blend eggs, plant milk, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Pour mixture over caramelized sugar in the mold.
- Bake in a water bath for 50-60 minutes until set.
- Cool, then refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use a high-speed blender for a smooth custard.
- Let the flan cool completely before flipping.
