Description
Traditional Polish dish made of cabbage leaves stuffed with a mixture of meat, rice, and spices, then baked in tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 cups tomato sauce
Instructions
- Boil cabbage until leaves soften. Remove and cool.
- Mix ground pork, beef, rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Place a spoonful of the mixture on each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
- Arrange rolls in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
- Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
Notes
- Use toothpicks to secure rolls if needed.
- Serve with sour cream.
