Description

Traditional Polish dish made of cabbage leaves stuffed with a mixture of meat, rice, and spices, then baked in tomato sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 cups tomato sauce


Instructions

  1. Boil cabbage until leaves soften. Remove and cool.
  2. Mix ground pork, beef, rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Place a spoonful of the mixture on each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
  4. Arrange rolls in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

Notes

  • Use toothpicks to secure rolls if needed.
  • Serve with sour cream.
