Description

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3-4 tablespoons ice water
- 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until dough forms.
- Roll dough into a circle on a floured surface.
- Toss pears with sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
- Arrange pears in the center of the dough, leaving a 2-inch border.
- Fold edges over the filling, pleating as needed.
- Brush crust with egg wash.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
