Quick and easy shrimp tacos with creamy yogurt-lime sauce, crisp slaw, and bold seasoning—ready in 20 minutes.
Ingredients
1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon taco seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Ground black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon avocado oil
14-ounce bag coleslaw or 3 cups shredded cabbage
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped (or parsley/green onion)
9 corn tortillas, warmed
Optional guacamole
1/2 cup plain yogurt (2%+ or 0%)
1/4 cup avocado oil mayonnaise
Juice of 1 lime
1/2 teaspoon taco seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch cayenne pepper
Ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Toss shrimp with taco seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper; let sit for 10 minutes.
2. Whisk yogurt, mayo, lime juice, taco seasoning, salt, cayenne, and black pepper to make the sauce.
3. In a large bowl, toss coleslaw mix with cilantro and 1-2 tablespoons of sauce.
4. Heat avocado oil in a skillet and cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
5. Warm tortillas in a skillet or over a flame for 20 seconds per side.
6. Assemble tacos with slaw, shrimp, and a generous drizzle of sauce.
7. Add guacamole if desired and serve immediately with lime wedges.
Notes
You can substitute cilantro with parsley or green onions if needed.
Use 0% yogurt for a lighter sauce option.
Store components separately for leftovers to maintain texture.
