Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 sweet potato buns
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned.
- Add diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, and garlic powder.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toast the sweet potato buns lightly.
- Spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture onto the buns and serve immediately.
