Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 6 brioche buns
- 1/4 cup melted butter (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Mix honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt in a bowl.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken, ensuring full coverage.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours, until chicken shreds easily.
- Remove chicken, shred with forks, and return to the slow cooker. Stir to coat with sauce.
- Toast buns with melted butter if desired.
- Assemble sandwiches with shredded chicken and serve.
