Description
A refreshing and nutritious salad combining sweet strawberries with fresh spinach, topped with a light dressing.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh spinach, washed and dried
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional)
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash and dry the spinach and strawberries.
- Slice the strawberries and red onion.
- In a large bowl, combine spinach, strawberries, and red onion.
- Sprinkle feta cheese and walnuts on top.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper.
- Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a vegan version, omit the feta cheese or use a dairy-free alternative.
- Add grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
- Best served fresh; dressing may cause spinach to wilt if stored for too long.
