Description

A flavorful and nutritious dish featuring marinated tempeh served over rice with fresh vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 200g tempeh, cubed
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Add tempeh cubes to the marinade and let sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the marinated tempeh for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Assemble your bowl with cooked rice, steamed broccoli, shredded carrots, and cooked tempeh.
  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute tempeh with tofu if preferred.
