Description
A classic green bean casserole that you can prepare ahead of time for Thanksgiving. Perfect for saving time on the big day.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (10.5 oz each) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
- 1 1/3 cups French-fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
- Stir in the green beans and 2/3 cup of French-fried onions.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Top with the remaining onions and bake for 5 more minutes.
Notes
- You can assemble the casserole a day ahead and refrigerate. Add the final layer of onions just before baking.
- For a crunchier texture, add extra onions after baking.
