Ingredients
  

Pasta Base

  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni) cooked al dente

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage crumbled and browned
  • 1 cup heavy cream for creaminess
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with juice
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning for extra flavor

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the cooked pasta, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes, then serve hot!

Notes

For extra richness, add a splash of pasta water before mixing in the pasta. Serve with garlic bread for the perfect meal!
