This hearty Hamburger Potato Casserole is a comforting, cheesy, and delicious one-dish meal! Layered with seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, and a creamy sauce, it's a family favorite!
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish, followed by half of the ground beef and half of the chopped onion.
Pour half of the soup mixture over the layers. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, beef, and soup mixture.
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake for another 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking. You can also swap ground beef for ground turkey for a leaner option.
