Description
A fun and festive twist on classic Rice Krispie treats, using colorful marshmallow Peeps for a sweet Easter treat.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 10 oz package marshmallow Peeps (about 20 Peeps)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over low heat.
- Add Peeps and stir until fully melted (about 5 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla if using.
- Quickly fold in Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
- Press mixture into a greased 9×13 pan.
- Top with sprinkles while still sticky if desired.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Work quickly as the mixture sets fast.
- For extra color, use different Peeps colors.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
