Ingredients
Brownie Base:
– 1 box brownie mix + ingredients listed on the box (usually oil, egg, water)
Cheesecake Layer:
– 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
– ½ cup powdered sugar
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1½ cups whipped cream or whipped topping
Turtle Toppings:
– ½ cup chopped pecans
– ⅓ cup caramel sauce
– ⅓ cup chocolate sauce or ganache
– Optional: extra whipped cream for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare and bake brownies in a 9-inch springform pan according to box directions. Let cool completely.
2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped cream until fluffy.
3. Spread cheesecake mixture evenly over the cooled brownie base.
4. Drizzle with caramel and chocolate sauce. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
5. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight for best texture.
6. Slice and serve with extra whipped cream if you’re feeling fancy.
Notes
Storage Instructions: Wrap tight with plastic wrap or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Freezing Instructions: Without toppings, wrap entire pan in a layer of plastic wrap and then a layer of aluminum foil. Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in refrigerator overnight. Top with caramel sauce, chocolate and pecans before serving.
