Ingredients
  

Pasta Base

  • 12 oz pasta spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1 cup heavy cream for extra creaminess
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream, stirring continuously. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in parmesan cheese, black pepper, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach the desired consistency.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately!

Notes

For extra flavor, add cooked chicken or shrimp! You can also sprinkle red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
