Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream, stirring continuously. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in parmesan cheese, black pepper, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach the desired consistency.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately!
Notes
For extra flavor, add cooked chicken or shrimp! You can also sprinkle red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
